shift in surgery~~

now that we are trying to implement the new shift system, i feel that there are a few pros and cons to it..
the shift system are divided to am shift (7am-6pm), pm shift(11am-11pm), and night shift(10pm-10am)

before this, there were around 12 ho's in the ward, from at least 6 am to 11pm..y? because there's tds rounds(3x) per day,. by mo and specialist, 2 by mo n specialist from the same ward and the other by the oncalls. after 11pm, there will only be left with oncall ho's to cover active male, female, ot and peads. since shift system, there are only 2 people working per shift,.. and people are more calculative.. staying late is NOT an option..!!y?? because we are paid by the hours..hurmm.. no oncalls and y bortehr about the current ward work if there will be other HO from another shift to complete it for you..
arghh.. 2 HO pershift is not enough especially when 1 of them have to go to OT.. then you'll see the real mishap of the shift system,..once when i was in my pm shift,..none of my am shifts were around to pass over, one was in kl and the other in OT.. Boss was sooo pissed off that we dont know the cases in the ward..what do you expect? no pass over from am shift, the noght shifts are so eager to go home after seeing our faces.. and the wardload are just unsettling.. i wonder y..u want to know??? cause of the long lists of dressings, discharges and bloods!!n new cases!!!2 HOs settling all this?no way!! i guess it wont be a problem if both are super senior HOs.. but looking at the pace of the current new HOs???OMG!!!  xboleh blah!! boleh nangis time tu jugak weiii...

regardless the stress of being in the ward for so long waiting for tds rounds to be over, oncall system was better.. i guess the teamwork is superb.. hey,..everyone wants to settle all the ward work early so that they can all go home and rest!! no questions of waiting to punch out and stuff.. but the closeness and warmness of friendship were there..

i am now posted in surgical peads.. urmm,..cant really complaint much,..not much ward work to be done,.. not many cases to be clerked..yet i pity my frens in 1-1 especially,..with the amount of female pts and everyday new case to clerk, let alone the dressings..
soooooooo tiring!!!!!!!
furthermore, there are no extra allowances.. arghh.. how i envy the MOs and their oncall allowances..hahaha.. eventhough it's always the other way around,..them envying us..

still,..if they think that there are too many HOs around, dont they think that MOs are coming like floods too?? uhuksss.. they should be working in shift system too!! seriously,..sometimes, there are like 6 MOs doing rounds with a specialist,.. if they are training us to work in shifts, might as well make it permanent until out MO-ship..hahaaa.. then only it'll be practical...

now that we are having fun enjoying our luxurious time with family...then what?after 2 years..BAMMMM!!! we have to struggle with oncalls?? then you'll start receiving letters from "The Unsatisfied Husband" about their wives work load.. BUllshittttt kot!! nak jadi doctor just bear with it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... dont just complaint... stop wining and start working....!!!!
The conclusion is: I HATE SHIFT SYSTEM!!.. no matter how much time it brings me closer to my family,..my son is too small to understand.. and they'll take that away from me when i start my MO-ship!!! when my son finally will start to remember..i will start being busy!
