shift in surgery~~

now that we are trying to implement the new shift system, i feel that there are a few pros and cons to it..
the shift system are divided to am shift (7am-6pm), pm shift(11am-11pm), and night shift(10pm-10am)

before this, there were around 12 ho's in the ward, from at least 6 am to 11pm..y? because there's tds rounds(3x) per day,. by mo and specialist, 2 by mo n specialist from the same ward and the other by the oncalls. after 11pm, there will only be left with oncall ho's to cover active male, female, ot and peads. since shift system, there are only 2 people working per shift,.. and people are more calculative.. staying late is NOT an option..!!y?? because we are paid by the hours..hurmm.. no oncalls and y bortehr about the current ward work if there will be other HO from another shift to complete it for you..
arghh.. 2 HO pershift is not enough especially when 1 of them have to go to OT.. then you'll see the real mishap of the shift system,..once when i was in my pm shift,..none of my am shifts were around to pass over, one was in kl and the other in OT.. Boss was sooo pissed off that we dont know the cases in the ward..what do you expect? no pass over from am shift, the noght shifts are so eager to go home after seeing our faces.. and the wardload are just unsettling.. i wonder y..u want to know??? cause of the long lists of dressings, discharges and bloods!!n new cases!!!2 HOs settling all this?no way!! i guess it wont be a problem if both are super senior HOs.. but looking at the pace of the current new HOs???OMG!!!  xboleh blah!! boleh nangis time tu jugak weiii...

regardless the stress of being in the ward for so long waiting for tds rounds to be over, oncall system was better.. i guess the teamwork is superb.. hey,..everyone wants to settle all the ward work early so that they can all go home and rest!! no questions of waiting to punch out and stuff.. but the closeness and warmness of friendship were there..

i am now posted in surgical peads.. urmm,..cant really complaint much,..not much ward work to be done,.. not many cases to be clerked..yet i pity my frens in 1-1 especially,..with the amount of female pts and everyday new case to clerk, let alone the dressings..
soooooooo tiring!!!!!!!
furthermore, there are no extra allowances.. arghh.. how i envy the MOs and their oncall allowances..hahaha.. eventhough it's always the other way around,..them envying us..

still,..if they think that there are too many HOs around, dont they think that MOs are coming like floods too?? uhuksss.. they should be working in shift system too!! seriously,..sometimes, there are like 6 MOs doing rounds with a specialist,.. if they are training us to work in shifts, might as well make it permanent until out MO-ship..hahaaa.. then only it'll be practical...

now that we are having fun enjoying our luxurious time with family...then what?after 2 years..BAMMMM!!! we have to struggle with oncalls?? then you'll start receiving letters from "The Unsatisfied Husband" about their wives work load.. BUllshittttt kot!! nak jadi doctor just bear with it aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... dont just complaint... stop wining and start working....!!!!
The conclusion is: I HATE SHIFT SYSTEM!!.. no matter how much time it brings me closer to my family,..my son is too small to understand.. and they'll take that away from me when i start my MO-ship!!! when my son finally will start to remember..i will start being busy!

malam-malam ku~~

wotsss... baby dah membesar,..mcm2 dia dah boleh buat,.. kadang2 nak tergelak pun ada. ada masa nak menangis sama kalau berjam2 dia terjerit2 tuh.
sekarang ammar dah nak masuk 4 bulan,..urmm.. ada lagi seminggu:)
sekejap jer masa berlalu. ammar dah ada mcm2 gaya sendiri, contohnye bile tidur, nak mengiring peluk mummy, kalau dalam buaian nak meniarap.. agak pelik mummy rasa tapi asalkan ammar bahagia dan boleh tidur lama,.. xkisah la..
satu hari mummy balik rumah, tengok ammar tak tidur2 lagi,.. rupe2 nye nak ajak mummy and papa borak2.. sejuk hati mummy lepas penat2 kerja ada ammar yang pandai buat lawak dah ni:)
first time mummy dengar ammar gelak, i cant stop laughing and smiling the whole day at work,..
mummy syg sgt ammar!!:-P.. the love of my life.. the apple of my eye.. the sugar in my tea..hahahahaha

a new beginning...

i cant believe that it has been 19 days since my baby left a scar under my belly:p.. apart from the weight gain and baby kicking every 3 mins,..i actually miss being pregnant,..
while being pregnant make my nights sleepless with all the pain and movements,.. the part after that is scarier.. now my baby wakes up every 1230mn, 230am, 330am and 430am,..ahaksss..
its his routine...
well,.. one of the midwives told me that once the baby has adapted with the "outside world" timing, he will eventually wakes more often in daylight and sleeps most off the time at night,..
im here to tell you that it is not entirely true!! not true at all,.. he just loves to wake up when his father is in deeeeep sleeeppp and spends the entire night with mumbling and doing his cute smile,.which sometimes.. at seldom occasion mommy dont find it cute at all...hahhaaa..that is when mommy fell asleep..
im giving breastfeeding,..it was convenience for awhile..after baby ammar took almost 30-45 mins to suckle.. uhukss.. n mommy was left with no more hours of sleep:(..
but mommy never forgets about papa,..mommy always make sure to wake him up to change your diaper,ammar:p..

mommy loves you,..baby muhammad ammar safwan bin muhammad hafidz

counting my days...

my baby is now 30weeks and 3 days of gestational age,..cant wait to have him in our lives.. hurmmm..apart from the pain of quickening and movements his making in my belly,.. i'd rather not feel it as he is sooooo active,..
counting weeks and days for my beloved husband to complete his job in kulim,..so that i wont be at home alone,..
its scary , also lonely and sometimes tiring to be doing everything alone..
i just feels like sleeping and letting the days pass by as quick as possible!!
ahaksss,.. nothing much i can do when im thinking of him...reallllyyyy..reallllyy misssss him!!

xoxo

My last o n g call;-p

connecting~~

huhuuu..a lot has happened over the past one year,..im married and expecting, life in the hospital has always been miserable,.. not that i can hope for it to change,.. this will be my life routine,.. baby and patients and household,..
i cant deny that financially it has been better.. hafidz is getting his contract extended and we need not have to worry about him not having a job for some time.. accumulatively, we actually made a lot! for a small household,.. but still i dont know where did all the money disappeared:p..
we r still waiting to get our new house.. lawyer fees and renovation will be the first thing in our mind to settle in 2011:)..
then there's maid employment and baby stuff,.. ahakss..
and also we're trying to save for a new toyota wish/caldina?? ahaksss.. just see.. we may not get the money so soon,.. there's also hubby trying to enter a course which enable him to get a welding degree in 5 days.. by SIRIM which will cost us around 10k!!
alamak... this means lots of OverTime for him and oncall and Locums for me:p... mcm aku larat jer..
ive been married for 10 months,.. this is toooooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuccchhhh!!
naaaa,.. we can survive this.. :)

so if people ask me what's my new year's resolution.. i'll be so conflicted,.. between is it about me or my family??? or maybe i have tonnes of resolutions which i hope to archieved in 2011!!
that could be it:)hehehheeee..

i hope~~

i really hope it's true
i hope its real
i hope im becoming one
i just hope i wont get disappointed

i hope of being a good one
i hope i can teach him everything
i hope i can see him live
i really hope i could have him..

i dont mind if it hurts
i will cherish him forever
i want it to complete..

but sometimes hoping is not enough
sometimes we just got tired
and he might just slipped away
and we might just lose him

but i really hope..
really really hope that
i will be with him
and i can hold him
i could love him
and see him grow
...
but i can just hope..~~
